The Game Museum

The Game Museum

Welcome to the Evolutions of Games exhibit at the Bangor Escape Rooms Museum of Games. As humanity has evolved over the centuries, so has our ability to fulfill possibly our most primal need: to play games. From thousand-year old games like Go and Mancala through the 90's video games, we have filled our free time with cards, boards, dice and all manner of monsters to defeat. This time, the monsters are the games themselves. Can you play through the millennia of game history in under an hour, or will you be left staring at the two most dreaded gaming words in history: GAME OVER?

Bandito's Italian Bistro

The Bistro

You and your team were hired to rob one of the busiest restaurants in town: Bandito’s Italian Bistro. You were able to successfully get in, hold the employees at gunpoint, and clean them out. In your rush to escape with the cash, you dropped your weapon and were forced to leave it behind. You now have one hour to break back into the restaurant, find your gun, and escape before the cops arrive to collect the evidence and arrest you!

Room Capacity:  8             Length: 60 minutes              Difficulty:  Hard

In all games, you'll work together to solve puzzles and clues that eventually will lead to your escape from the room. Some clues are fairly easy, while others might have you scratching your head. (But please avoid scratching the heads of strangers). No special skills are needed. Communicate with each other, search the rooms carefully, and if you get stuck, move on to another area or a different puzzle.

Games will begin with a briefing by our staff, where we'll review the rules and answer any questions. Then, you'll be led into the room and your countdown to escape will begin. You'll either make your way out or we'll unlock the door when your time runs out. Although these games are challenging, don't worry - you'll have fun whether you escape or not! At the end of your game we'll recap your accomplishments and explain how to solve the remaining puzzles inside the room. Plan on spending a total of about 90 minutes with us from start to finish.

Be sure you arrive on time! Leave ample time to find parking. If you arrive after the door to the room has been "locked", you will not be allowed to participate, and there are no refunds or exchanges permitted. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before your room start time.

So what's the prize for escaping? Besides the tremendous pride and excitement you'll feel if you're one of the few exceptionally clever teams to make your way out of the room, you'll also be added to our Hall of Fame where you can bask in eternal glory and recognition!

Please do not spoil the fun of the games for other participants by revealing answers to puzzles and clues.
